"Best Matcha" - Damo Tea House

this iced matcha latte is perfection. it's woman-owned, opened in 2022 in koreatown, and now expanded to the arts district. damo has become one of my most beloved tea spots because their matcha and hojicha lattes are unreal. Smooth, high-quality, not stingy with the ratios.

I haven't done this yet, but it's on my list: they have a ceremonial tea experience called Deukeum Green Tea that comes with a sand timer, traditional brewing steps, and a trio of Korean snacks — dried persimmon, rice cake, and a persimmon butter walnut piece. The ethos of this place reminds me to slow down and actually taste something.
