so you're splurging on a trip to napa. great choice!! yes it's expensive and yes some of it is a little scene-y but the terroir is genuinely unmatched and when napa is good it's SO good. here's what i actually love—the family-run spots where the winemaker pours for you, the biodynamic estates doing interesting stuff instead of just chasing points, the caves you didn't know existed, the bottles that punch way above their price. we're skipping the velvet rope energy and going where the real ones go
